"Three Three Nine" The bride and groom take turns taking three sips each of three different bowls of sake. The number 3 is considered a lucky number and nine is the luckiest. With this act the marriage is solemnized

"Mirror Opening". A traditional ceremony to wish happiness and success for the future. The bride and groom hold a wooden hammer and break the lid of a Komodaru holding sake together. The sake was then served to guests.
